Not Quite Ready To Move

It’s been pretty hectic around here. Bob finished a 3 month project and promptly came down with the flu. Can you say, not enough rest for too long? My daughter’s father-in-law passed on (written about last week The Between Times).

We had the garage sale on Saturday and Salvation Army is supposed to come this Friday to get the left overs.IMG_3560  My SIL Kevin competed in the Iron Man Triathalon in Galveston this past weekend. IMG_3575 So impressed with both my SsIL because Lance inspired Kevin to do this and then provided a blow by blow report on how he was doing. So helpful. Lots of family support,

even Charley. IMG_3571

Anyway, today’s post is brief because of so much going on, and besides I want to encourage you to bop over to the Sisters of Suspense blog. My friend Susan Bernhardt (she stops by her often) is our guest over there. Here’s the link. https://sistersofsuspense.com/portfolio-2/   Click on Portfolio and her interview will show up. She writes delightful cozies. She’s been my guest on my Tuesday Author Chats blog, but these are different questions, and she gives really cool answers.

Thanks so much for all your support. Please follow me on FB https://www.facebook.com/marsha.r.west and  my author page https://www.facebook.com/marshawestfans/ and sign up for my newsletter. http://eepurl.com/bBcimz   I love hearing from you here.

  1. So many things happening, both good and sad. Make sure you take some time to just breathe and realize everything happens for a reason. Once you’re in your new home, you’ll wonder why it took so long to make the decision! 🙂

    • Hey, Jacquie. You are right about all things happening in the right time. And I’m glad we’ve had almost a full year to make this happen. I’m super excited about the lakehouse, but I’ll miss our neighbors here, too. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  2. Marsha, you have so much going on in your life. I hope your DH feels much better soon. Other than Bill and myself, everyone in our immediate family has had the flu this season. It’s terrible.

Thank you for having me on the Sisters of Suspense blog today. It was an honor and such fun answering your great questions. See you over there. 🙂

    • Hey, Susan. Apparently, it’s being a bad flu season everywhere. Bob is much better today, and thankfully is staying home one more day. So glad. Appreciate your kind thoughts. I’m late getting here and spreading the word about both blogs because the sprinkler guy came this morning. A good thing, but through me off a bit. We’ll have fun at SOS. I’ve seen your FB posts about the blog. Thanks. 🙂

  3. Thanks for the link to last week’s post. I was offline all week while we traveled back home–North! Delightful spring weather here today. Isn’t it crazy how if we knew before hand ALL the things we would be tackling, we’d put up our hands and say impossible. But still we get through it all. You will too. And what a day when you settle in to your new home. Blessings.

    • Hey, JQ. Does making the trip back and forth every year help keep you from keeping so much? I’m just amazed at how much stuff we have we haven’t looked at in years. Glad you go back safely. I do think you have the best of both worlds with your life style. No sufficatingly hot weather to deal with. And only as much cold as you want. Thanks for stopping by.

      • Well if you mean “so much” at each house Yes. I actually pack every 6 months so I eliminate a lot of things I haven’t used while going through everything. We even took part in a yard sale before we left Most of the stuff was from Ted’s shed, not household items from me. We are spoiled when it comes to the weather, that’s for sure.
