Romantic Suspense Book Event

Generally I don’t post on my blog here in the week I send out my Newsletter, but I’ve got this great book event going on I don’t want you to miss. And for some reason, you all aren’t signed up for my Newsletter. Why is that? 😊

I’m working with Authors XP that a writer friend (Helena Fairfax-check out her wonderful romances & non-fiction  https://helenafairfax.com/ ) told me about. This is a chance to find new romantic suspense authors. You can win e-books and print books.

You sign up for the author’s newsletters to enter the contest. And we all know if you don’t like the newsletter you can drop it, but maybe you’ll meet some really neat folks and want to stay. That’s what I’m hoping for.

Here’s the link.  http://AuthorsXP.com/giveaway

My e-book is SECOND ACT, Book 2 in the Second Chances Series. You know this blurb.

When a member of the board of a non-profit arts agency in Fort Worth turns up dead, the homicide detective Mike Riley assigned to the case looks at everyone involved in the organization, including Addison Greer, the executive director.

The print book I’m giving away is THE THEATRE. Here’s the blub. I love this book.

the-theatre-750x500-300-1

When Kelly Lawson, New York TV actress returns home to Texas to choreograph and direct for her local theatre, she accuses a Glenview police officer of harassing two of their gay actors. Police Chief Josh Kincaid, the most recent man her mother has selected to be Kelly’s love interest, investigates causing upsets in town politics and falling under the actress’ spell.

These are the only two books where I pull from the experiences my daughter and I have had in the business.

I hope you’re not melting in the heat. Friends in my adopted state of Maine have said they’ve got temps in the 90s. Very unusual for them. We’ve got a week of 100s and a heat index of 109! Pray for the poor folks who have to work outdoors. Good times to stay inside and read.

And of course, wear a mask if you go out and stay distant. Be safe.

I’d be remiss not to wish my sweet husband Happy Birthday today. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOB.

What’s the weather like where you are? Love to hear from you. And please share this info. 😊 Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Happy birthday to your husband, Marsha. I hope you’re able to celebrate. It’s been very hot here, too. Nothing like your temperatures but no houses have a/c in the UK, so we really feel it. I had the fan on all night next to the dog’s basket.
Hope you stay cool by the lake. Good luck with your event. I’ll share!

    • Hey, Helena. Bless your heart. No AC with your heat. Hope the breezes are blowing across your moors. Thanks for your good wishes for Bob. I’m picking up his favorite meal from the restaurant we normally go to for his BD. The kids and grands will come over on Sunday, when it’s only going to be 100. We’ll be outside so I’m praying for gusty winds. LOL Thanks for sharing about the book event and for stopping by. 🙂
