Whew! Times a flying and stuff just keeps happening. Let me report on two big deals. Wednesday, I got to do a reading from ACT OF TRUST, Book 2 The Second Chances Series, and speak to the Greater Keller Women’s Club. It was fun, and I even sold a few books. They are nice folks who are themselves very busy doing good things for others. It was pretty inspirational. Here I am with the president Kimberley Vines on the right and the Program VP Debbie Johnson on the left. Thanks, ladies, for the opportunity.

Then Sunday, September 19 we dedicated our new church building. The one we moved into in March of 2020 right as everything shut down for Covid. In past blogs, I’ve shared pics of our former home and some of the process of putting this place together. This is the new home of Ridglea Presbyterian Church. From the time of the first offer to buy our old property to now has been over 8 years. Quite the journey. But we are enjoying our new home and neighborhood so much.

You may have seen on Facebook where I posted I’d uploaded COMPROMISE to Draft 2 Digital with a release date of Nov. 4. I’ll have a pre-release sale from October 17 – November 3. Then you can get the book for $1.99. On release day, it will go back up to standard prices for my books. $4.99. Y’all this is a good book. Yes, it’s my most recent, and don’t you just love the most recent best? Still. I really like this book. Hoping to have a Trailer out before release day.
Now, I’ve been talking about this next thing for quite a while, and it’s finally here. Tomorrow, I’ll participate in the Fall Into a Book Giveaway on the Isn’t It Romantic Book Club on Facebook. We’ll be talking about vacations and drinks. I do hope you’ll stop by. I’m giving away a $10 Starbucks GC, a pdf & a print of TAINTED, and a print of VERMONT ESCAPE. 4 Goodies. You just have to answer the questions to be entered. And I should add, while the graphic says 150 authors, there are 256 who’ll be posting that day. (This is not a FB sponsored event.) You comment. Your name is drawn. Winners are announced on Saturday! Pretty simple. Really do hope you’ll stop by so we can chat, and you have a chance to win. (You must join the group to play along.)

Hi Marsha, great to hear your upbeat post in these difficult times. I love the stained glass window in your new church. Really looking forward to your new release!

Hey, Helena. We were really pleased to be able to save many of our windows. Those kinds of things make people feel at home. Still working on formatting for the print, but e-book is ready to go. Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂

Hey, Reggi. It’s funny how things come in waves. You’ll just plunk along okay and then Wham! It’s been fun, but I’m looking forward to a slow down. So glad you like the cover. I’m pretty pumped about it. Thanks so much for stopping by and taking time to comment.:)

You are a busy bee! Sounds like so much fun. Congratulations on the dedication of your church. What a special time for your congregation. The church is beautiful and what an opportunity to invite folks in to hear the Good News. Yes, I’ve done FB Live several times. It seems everytime I do one, FB has changed the setup, but you know, we can learn. I am more confident now, but I still forget to look at the camera eye to talk to the person who is watching. Your contest has a LOT of participants. I don’t usually enter, but your entry seems easier. Looking forward to reading your new book!! Congrats!!

Hey, JQ. Sorry I’m just now seeing this. Yes, the FB event was really fun. Lots of folks commenting. Now it costs a pretty penny to mail books to winners, but many seem to prefer that over e-books, which always surprises me. The Isn’t It Romantic Contest is one of the easiet I’ve ever done. Way easier than the live ones. This you just post and periodically stop back in. It pretty takes the whole day if you have lots of folks stop by, but then on Saturday you announce winner. Yesterday, I mailed the two print books. Over and done with and I met a lot of fun people. I’ll do it next year, too. And you are so right, this is a learn by doing job, as it continues to morph. I haven’t done more FB live. Will take it up again after our New England trip next month. You’ve always been an inspiration to me, JQ, how you try to the next best thing. Thanks and thanks for stopping by. 🙂
