How about baking? Are you finished? What’s your favorite thing to make for the holiday?
I make my Grandmother’s Hermit Cookies. I use her recipe and substitute mincemeat for the raisins. It’s my favorite cookie. Not too sweet and very cake-like. I don’t make it every year because I can’t resist them. Really hard on my calorie count!
I’m sure you’re busy, so I’m cutting this short with wishes for a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Be safe if you’re traveling. As always I love to hear from you.

Hey, J. Q. Yes, I still have the recipe in her handwriting. Pretty cool. Unfortunately, none of the rest of the family enjoys these cookies. Sad for the tradition not to go on, but then I get to eat a lot more of these. 🙂 Appreciate the hugs, but we’re hitting 80 today and 84 tomorrow. Sounds like we’re in FL.
