Book Signing and Reading: Great fun. Wonderfully supportive friends in attendance and the best fizzy tea from LEAVES BOOK & TEA SHOP. Feel like the reading went well and even sold quite a few books. Missed a couple of friends and Bob. He was a bit under the weather, so we chose discretion rather than pushing it. He did get the book bags out of my car. I couldn’t have done it on my own. Then he went back home. He’s fine now and thankfully, it wasn’t Covid. Thanks to Lynne for handing out the tickets for drinks and to Sue and Alice for helping me pack up and get stuff back to my car. Book bags weren’t as heavy after the sale as when we carried them inside. 😊 All in all, a very nice afternoon.
Results of Our Fall: Charley is 100 % ok. Thank you for all the support. So many lovely Facebook friends sent prayers and good wishes for him. My hand is 100 % improved, but not 100 % yet. I’ve downsized the brace for the small one. I can type without pain. (That is so wonderful!) But there are still times when I get overly ambitious and move just a little the wrong way and get a sharp reminder of how fortunate I am I have no broken bones. Really a miracle. I can get up and down off the floor so I’m doing Pilates again. Gosh that first session after missing an entire week was hard!
Publishing: I’ve just ordered 10 more ISBNs for the next five books. Each format needs its own number—print and e-book. If I did audio, that would take another one. It will be fun to see what those next books will be.

At first I wasn’t into book trailers, but after seeing the first one, I’m sold. What do you think of book trailers?
Other stuff: Can you believe it’s September? 2022 will be gone before we blink a few times. You can see not only Fall and Halloween decorations in the stores, but the trees are already out. Too soon for me. I really like to enjoy each holiday to it’s fullest.
Monday is Labor Day and our youngest granddaughter’s birthday. The family is coming out to the lake for a cookout. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Maybe our other granddaughter will make an egg free and gluten free cake. Here’s a pic of her cinnamon rolls. Yummy looking, right? Can’t wait to sample.
How do you celebrate the Labor Day holiday? Or do you? Growing up I don’t remember celebrating it one way or the other. I first became aware of it when I was in college, and the soap operas I watched always had family or town picnics on this day. I hope you enjoy the day, however you celebrate. Love to hear from you.
